This lecture style/outdoor, hands-on workshop was designed for arborists, landscapers, parks, garden maintenance and garden centre professionals who want to know more about diagnosing and managing plant health issues on trees and shrubs. In INTEGRATED Pest Management we consider all factors including pests, host plants and site conditions.
This popular seminar will cover the most common pests that affect trees and shrubs in Ontario, and the environmental and physiological issues that make trees more susceptible.
This year we are honoured to have Christoph Kessel, OMAFRA Crop Nutrition Lead to guide us in hands-on assessment of landscape soil texture, drainage/compaction and health to diagnose any limiting site factors that could be hindering the growth of our landscape trees and shrubs!
You will also learn about the newest and best resources out there to help you,
…..and how to use them effectively on the job.
Feel free to bring your pest problems to this seminar. You will leave with answers, better problem solving skills and so much more.
Note: Continuing Educational Credits are available (e.g. Certified Arborist)
